It's the first day of our hybrid learning group Gideon Study Center and we could not be more excited. I stayed up late double checking the syllabus to make sure we had everything we need, I laminated those things I put off because of course I put them off, and I even loaded Monstro into the car so we were packed and ready for take off.
Upon departure I remembered I needed gas! The light was on... I can make it to the school and to the gas station. I know this because I am invincible and can do anything. My Honda counts down the miles of my life to empty, and like most things I don't pay attention until the number falls below 10 miles and the light is on. As we drove I watched the numbers tick lower and lower and lower. We arrived at the school and I had a few miles left to make it to the gas station no biggie its around the corner! Well nothing is around the corner in Bridgeville at peak traffic. As I sat at red lights, stop signs behind cautious drivers, I started to imagine myself walking to the gas station to buy a gas can to add gas to fill up my tank. A few sighs, gentle road rage, and talking to myself... I made it to the gas station... barely!

This was my tank as I sat in downtown Bridgeville.
God whispers in my ear... or yells at me again to step it up and get gas before the stress creeps in! But he also reminded me that "my cup overflows. Psalm 23:5" and that "surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life. Psalm 23:6"
Im glad I have His cup! Because mine is always on empty, really its the left over grounds in my up or the scum at the bottom of the well. So knowing I can turn to Him and get a free refill I am thankful!
The story continues... another perk of driving to Bridgeville two days a week is my proximity to coffee! YES! So I pull into Dunkin Donuts and decide to walk in because I have no kids with me! So nice to walk in! This cute little older lady takes my order and the wait begins... so I am waiting, waiting and waiting and I look over at the sweet soul and realize she can hardly see, her little glasses are all smooshed against her face, she is tilting her head and I think oh boy bless her soul. The coffee comes and it has sugar which of course is wonderful sweetness but I don't drink it mainly because I never have, I still have some lovely baby left overs, and its just a bit much so I kindly ask her if she can remake it. Sure she reply's and asked me if id like to keep the mistake which typically I love a good mistake at the coffee shop double coffee for me. However I decline because today is not the day to enter into a Diabetic Coma, (I am not diabetic but this coffee could have put me under). She hands me the new one and I walk out the door. I am pretty sure she forgot the coffee and I have having a cream latte. Epic strike out on my peaceful first day of school cup of coffee!

Its time to go get Julia... remember all those i's and t's I don't dot and don't cross... I forgot to send her Shirley Method books with Monstro, I didn't have the health form in, and still need to buy a graphing notebook for Math! Over all I did pretty good I think!
First day of school went great! Today is a day of preparation for tomorrows assignments. Wish my luck and may my coffee not fail me today!
